Ardei copti in sos de smantana/Roasted peppers in sour cream sauce

Ingrediente:

-          8 ardei grasi, copti si curatati;

-          3 catei de usturoi;

-          1 ceapa medie;

-          200 mL smantana pentru gatit (pentru varianta de post puteti adauga 250 grame rosii decojite la conserva);

-          2 linguri de ulei;

-          1 foaie de dafin;

-          sare;

-          piper proaspat macinat;

-          ¼ legatura de patrunjel sau marar tocat (optional).

Mod de preparare:

Ardeii copti si curatati sunt taiati in benzi sau puteti sa ii lasati intregi. Ceapa se curata, se spala si este taiata marunt. Intr-o tigaie adaugati uleiul si cand acesta s-a incalzit adaugati ceapa. Lasati ceapa sa se rumeneasca la foc mediu pentru cateva minute pana cand capata o tenta aurie. Peste ceapa adaugati ardeii taiati fasii. Puneti smantana pentru gatit, sau daca optati pentru varianta de post, adaugati o conserva de rosii decojite. Puneti si foaia de dafin. Amestecati totul foarte bine si lasati la foc mediu pana se formeaza sosul. Adaugati cateii de usturoi dati prin presa, sare si piper dupa gust. Mai lasati mancarea pe foc pentru 5-8 minute. Scoateti foaia de dafin din mancare. La sfarsit puteti adauga patrunjel sau marar proaspat.

·         8 bell peppers, roasted and peeled;

·         3 cloves of garlic;

·         1 medium onion;

·         200 mL of cooking cream (for a vegan version, you can add 250 grams of canned peeled tomatoes);

·         2 tablespoons of oil;

·         1 bay leaf;

·         salt;

·         freshly ground black pepper;

·         ¼ bunch of parsley or dill, chopped (optional).

Method of preparation:

Cut the roasted and peeled peppers into strips, or you can leave them whole. Peel, wash and finely chop the onion. In a frying pan, add the oil and once it's heated, add the chopped onion. Allow the onion to brown over medium heat for a few minutes until it turns golden. Add the sliced peppers to the onion. Add the cooking cream, or if you opt for the vegan version, add a can of peeled tomatoes. Add the bay leaf. Mix everything well and simmer on low heat until the sauce forms. Add the minced garlic cloves, salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook for another 5-8 minutes. Remove the bay leaf from the dish. At the end, you can add fresh parsley or dill.
