Ingrediente:
8 linguri seminte de chia;
2 cani cu apa;
2 linguri ulei de masline;
sucul de la 1 lamaie;
1 ceapa mica;
sare;
piper;
paine prajita (pentru servire).

Mod de preparare:
Intr-un bol mic, amestecati semintele de chia cu apa si lasati-le sa se inmoaie cel putin 3 ore, sau peste noapte, in frigider. Semintele de chia vor absorbi apa si vor forma un gel.
Dupa ce semintele de chia s-au inmuiat, transferati amestecul intr-un bol mai mare.
Adaugati uleiul de masline, sucul de lamaie, ceapa tocata marunt, sare si piper dupa gust si amestecati bine toate ingredientele pana cand obtineti o consistenta omogena, similara cu icrele traditionale.
Puteti servi icrele de chia pe paine prajita, ca aperitiv sau gustare.

juice of 1 lemon;
1 small onion;
salt;
pepper;
toasted bread (for serving).

Preparation method:
In a small bowl, mix the chia seeds with water and allow them to soak for at least 3 hours, or overnight in the refrigerator. The chia seeds will absorb the water and form a gel.
After the chia seeds have soaked, transfer the mixture to a larger bowl.
Add the olive oil, lemon juice, finely chopped onion, salt and pepper to taste and mix well until all ingredients are combined and the mixture has a homogeneous consistency similar to traditional "caviar."
Serve the chia caviar on toasted bread as an appetizer or snack.
