Ingrediente:
· 500 grame branza de vaci, bine scursa;
· 2 oua mari;
· 4 linguri de zahar;
· 1 esenta de vanilie;
· ulei pentru prajit;
· 150 grame faina de grau;
· 1 plic praf de copt;
· coaja rasa de la o lamaie;
· un varf praf de sare.

Mod de preparare:
Intr-un bol mare, amestecati faina, praful de copt si praful de sare. In alt bol, amestecati branza de vaci, zaharul, coaja de la o lamaie, esenta de vanilie si ouale. Amestecati totul foarte bine, pana cand compozitia devine omogena. Incorporati treptat, amestecul de faina peste compozitia de branza, amestecand constant pana cand intreaga compozitie devine omogena. Daca aluatul este prea lipicios, mai puteti adauga putina faina. Pe o suprafata infainata, formati din aluat bile. Faceti o gaura in mijlocul fiecarei bile pentru a forma papanasii. Formati separat si alte bilute mai mici. Puneti ulei intr-o oala si asteptati pana cand ajunge la punctul de fierbere. Prajiti papanasii pe ambele parti, pana cand devin aurii si isi maresc volumul. Scoateti-i pe un servetel de hartie pentru a absorbi excesul de ulei.
Serveste papanasii calzi, alaturi de smantana si dulceata de capsuni. Reprezinta un desert foarte usor de facut.

Method of preparation:
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, mix the cottage cheese, sugar, lemon zest, vanilla essence and eggs. Mix everything very well until the composition becomes homogeneous. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture into the cheese mixture, stirring constantly until the entire composition is homogeneous. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more flour. On a floured surface, form balls of dough. Make a hole in the center of each ball to shape the romanian fried cheese doughnuts. Also form smaller separate balls. Put oil in a pot and wait until it reaches the boiling point. Fry the romanian fried cheese doughnuts on both sides until they turn golden and increase in volume. Remove them onto a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
Serve the romanian fried cheese doughnuts warm, accompanied by sour cream and strawberry jam. This dessert is very easy to make.
